- September 19: HGAC's Historic Barn Tour (Gettysburg, PA) – Travel back in time with The HGAC Historic Barns Tour of Gettysburg and Adams County. After checking in at the Historic Round Barn, attendees can explore the barns in any order and learn about their historical significance and timber frame construction. - September 19-20: 13th Annual Sweet Potato Festival (Gettysburg, PA) – This lively, family-friendly event offers something for everyone and is a great way to experience the charm of Adams County as it celebrates America’s 250th anniversary. - September 26: East Berlin Colonial Day (Gettysburg, PA) – Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Colonial Day honors the town’s 18th-century roots and Pennsylvania’s rich living history by transforming Main Street into a bustling colonial marketplace. Visitors can explore the work of over 200 craftspeople—including blacksmiths, weavers, candle makers, and soap makers—enjoy food and music, and tour historic log homes, taverns, and museum exhibits. This festival combines education, preservation, innovation, and celebration.
